Our consultations cater to various needs, offering standard check-ups, extended consultations for complex or multiple issues, and immediate action in emergencies. Consultations: Ensuring your pet's well-being
Standard Consultation
Our standard consultation appointment typically lasts for 20 minutes. During this time, we dedicate our attention to hearing your concerns, gathering a comprehensive patient history, and conducting an examination of your pet, all while adhering to our Fear Free accreditation standards. Included in this consultation is the TPR (Temperature, Pulse, and Respiration), and the physical examination is tailored according to your pet's presenting condition.
The contents of a standard consultation may vary, encompassing services like vaccination appointments, assessments for acute injuries, ear infection checks, evaluations for gastrointestinal issues, medication reviews, lump examinations, and new pet check-ups.
Extended Consultation
In order to provide you and your pet with the best possible advice and treatment our staff or the veterinarian may deem it appropriate to book in for an extended consultation. This appointment can either be 40 minutes or 60 minutes. Depending on your pet's illness, injury, or ongoing condition, you may also request an extended consultation through our friendly reception team.
Walk in Appointments
We suggest calling ahead to secure a booking time that is suitable for your lifestyle. This will avoid any double-up appointments and disappointment if you are unable to be seen quickly. Nurse Consultations
Nurse Consultations are scheduled for a variety of reasons, extending to nail trims, anal gland expressions, weight checks, nutrition discussions, new puppy settling/training techniques, and medication administration/assistance, all within our 20-minute appointments.
Behaviour Appointments
Behaviour consultations, lasting one hour, are exclusively conducted at our South Yarra clinic and require appointments. Led by Dr. Thulasi Saravanthar, a distinguished member of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists specializing in Behavior, these sessions are custom-tailored to address your pet's specific behavioural requirements. Emergency Appointments
Our dedicated nurses promptly assess pets needing urgent care, ensuring a calm evaluation and triage for prompt attention based on their conditions. For Emergency walk-in appointments, we are available Monday to Friday from 8:30pm to 11pm. More information is available here
