OUR 50 YEAR HISTORY
Originally founded nearly 50 years ago we have changed quite a lot over the years
Dr Carl Muller opened the original ‘Prahran Veterinary Hospital’ in 1975, just down the street from our current Prahran location.
Then directors Drs Peter Juliff and Kay Wallace undertook relocation and expansion of the Hospital to our current purpose-built Hospital in the early 2000s.
Drs Diana Barker and Theo Lynch joined the partnership in 2014 and under their leadership the practice adopted a new name ‘Evervet’, to reflect our evolution and growth to include new locations in South Yarra and East Melbourne.
Veterinary science and animal healthcare have become increasingly sophisticated in the decades since we first hung out our shingle. At Evervet we’ve continually adapted and sought to lead the way in providing innovative care to the pet families of Melbourne.
What hasn’t changed?
Despite the many physical changes, at its core Evervet remains a proudly local and family-owned business under Diana and Theo’s leadership.
Whilst ever more veterinary practices join the trend towards corporatisation and similarity (even though it may not outwardly appear so), at Evervet we are driven to continue providing a dynamic, collaborative and personal veterinary service for pet families.
The talented and cohesive team of vets, nurses and support staff we’ve built over the years, wholeheartedly buy into Evervet’s values, providing innovative care to our patients whilst making it a familiar and nonthreatening experience for them and their families. We might have grown, and we might look different, but our connection to Evervet’s pet families, and what matters to them most, won’t waiver.
